Review:
I usually do not like movies about sports. I love the sport, and not just movies about sports. That said, this movie was not so much about baseball as it was about the relationship between father and daughter. He also talked about how technology has taken over the human element scouting for players. This movie is the complete opposite ball Money, where technology really helps in building a team. Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood) is an aging scout for the Atlanta Braves, who struggles with his vision and the reception has doubts about whether or not he is still at work in detecting and exposure, talent Dza. Due to this suffering, Gus is a grumpy old man that really adds a lot of humor to the film. His character reminded me a bit of character, played by Eastwood in Grand Torino. His daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams) discovers that his father has trouble reluctantly assumes the role of caregiver and followed his father to his exploratory adventure. By the way, knows more about baseball than probably anyone else in this movie. Johnny Flanagan (Justin Timberlake) is an aspiring sportscaster, who was seen Gus ago. The relationship that develops between Mickey (named for Mickey Mantle), and Johnny is fun to watch, and provides insights into Mickey's reluctance to develop a relationship with a man. Pete Klein (John Goodman) plays the role of mediator, which brings together Mickey and Gus. I really liked his unwavering confidence devoçãoe for Gus. It was also good to see again Scott Eastwood (Billy Clark) act alongside his father. Examination together in several films, and it was easy to see how spending time with family. I think we did a whole cast of this film better and I'm sure that will encourage young viewers to the theater. I do not think this movie was absolutely fantastic, but it was fun. There were aspects of the film that were quite predictable, but I was anxious to see it play out. Director Robert Lorenz did not knock out of the park (as he did with Million Dollar Baby), but I think it's definitely triple play. I recommend that you do not sit on the bench and go out and see this movie. I give this movie the green light.
