God help me! I liked this movie, now I'll be one of the few who did. As you can see in the other reviews many people do not like this movie, why did I ever do? 1. I went with low expectations - I expected something terrible, boring, long and pointless, but myself, I liked it, I laughed at the jokes, I connected with the actors (yes, Rihanna too), I was excited by the accióny while clicking? s the plot held my interest 2. The actors did a good job with what they got - Taylor Kitsch did a good job, Rihanna was not so bad, I dare say better, in their role. She was there, she did not try to chew the scenery, she did her job as an actor / secondary character, and does not bother me. I give kudos3. lost in translation? - Try to play a video and want to put some of them play in it? It is not easy, a little cheesy? Of course, but it's fun? Yes, fun, nice, and at the end was a part of history that was not as forced as could be. So in conclusion, Battleship is a fun movie, cheesy, typical summer that I like, but as you can see a lot of people do not. I think it's a guilty pleasure, something to enjoy for the few but annoying for the rest. In the end, I can only suggest this - go with low expectations, expect a little more from the top and patriotism Act of Valor (but not as heavy), and do not think.
