Review:
I finally got to see this movie in theaters company here in El Paso Labor Day. I originally did not think too much about the film, but as time went left regular theaters here in town and realized that he'd like to see it go. I remember hearing some critics blast out of the movie so horrible and wanted to judge for yourself. I am so glad I finally saw this film movie.This not the usual clash of the Titans / Jason and the kind of movie where the gods are constantly displayed and portrayed as more important and more powerful people humble Argonauts. In fact, this movie completely ignores the call gods and instead puts the focus where it belongs - the warriors themselves. I studied the Iliad, and other stories about the legendary Trojan War from my days as a nerd school mitoloxíae obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons. Instead of being aimed at this film demystifies the Trojan War and treat it in a way that could actually happen. We see that older people who constantly refer to your call gods come across as silly. One of the most telling line is when Hector (Eric Bana) refers to the fact that Apollo did not knock Achilles (Brad Pitt) the desecration of the statue. Hector says a lot that seems to question the gods, he is taught to worship.I were critical of life of Brad Pitt as a second-tier talent who became famous only because of his appearance, but in this movie it blew me away. He is the real protagonist of the film. Achilles is easily the most interesting character and fun. I applaud Brad Pitts effort into making your character a tragic hero. Achilles admits that he is the son of God is not immortal or invulnerable. The movie basically shows how rumors can flourish a legend itself. Achilles legend becomes immortal. He himself refers to it in my favorite scene, when he is inspiring his people and begins the invasion great numerical disadvantage and still wins. Later in the same scene scoffs called gods in Greek and Trojan love beheading the statue. I found this scene symbolic of the film. The gods are nothing to the two characters and audience.Instead of supernatural powers and impossible feats were treated with realism. Even the death of Achilles is more real than a myth. The myth of Paris killed Achilles with an arrow, but because it has no battle skills of your hand is actually run by Apollo.If was one thing I liked about the film is the transformation Paris in some kind of hero. Paris was a coward in the original myth and I do not see a reason to turn overnight hero in the film. I think the fans of Orlando Bloom would not be able to afford to see it as a bad guy and had the inspiration to transform Paris into a better shooter Robin Hood.While this movie was not even close to the masterpiece it is , click the producers is expected or advertised as, it does not deserve the bad publicity it has received from critics. I applaud the creators of this film and look forward to buying it on DVD.
